Sisu-Kyokushin had the honour of participating, under the leadership of shihan Kai Hallamaa, in the summer camp organised by the Swedish Kyokushinkai Tezuka Group in Stockholm on 6–7 June 2026.

This summer, around 100 participants attended the camp, and several 1–2 hour training sessions were held during the weekend, covering various aspects of karate. The training sessions included kihon, kata, and kumite, among other things. Towards the end of the camp, grading examinations were held, in which Finnish participants also achieved new belt ranks.

Two Finnish clubs participated

The camp offered a great opportunity to develop our own practice, gain new perspectives on training, and train together with other Kyokushin practitioners. The weekend left us with new friends, many lessons learned, good energy, and motivation for future training sessions.

In addition to Sisu-Kyokushin, Finland was also represented by CHAMPION-FightClub from the Helsinki metropolitan area, led by Sempai Nikolai.

A top team sharing their expertise

During the weekend, training sessions were led by several experienced instructors. We received valuable instruction from, among others, Shihan Husain, Shihan Hashim, and Sempai Turgay, not forgetting all the other camp instructors and organisers whose contribution made the weekend unforgettable.
